I've been going to Hilltop for at least 25 years. For local, non-chain pizza; arguably, they are the best. I can't think of a pizza place that can compete in Des Moines that's still open. Ames, perhaps, has a few pizza places off of the top of my mind that might match Hilltop...(?)

Best pizza and onion rings this side of the metro! A little divey, but that just adds to the charm for us.

We go there every Friday night and everytime the service and food is always great. The 🍕 is out of this world.

I have always wanted to try this pizza. Got the chance attending a family gathering. It was great! Good sauce, awesome ingredients. The staff was fantastic. Great clean place.
