Saw Patton's on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and drove down the next three weeks in a row! I think we've been there at least eight times now....it's about an hour drive.
The food is delicious and the people are wonderful.
The buffet has been different each time and it's never disappointed.
Just heard last week that they've Closed...sad to hear this...they stated that they are looking for new opportunities so I'm hoping that we haven't seen the last from Pam and Stan.

I went in not entirely sure what to expect and was completely blown away. We came in and were greeted by one of the employees who was friendly and explained the process to us. We tried every option they had and it was all delicious. The red velvet waffles with the cream cheese topping and chicken was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. The owner and chef Pam clearly cares deeply about the food and customers. I will definitely be taking friends and family there in the future

Just had the Sunday buffet. Was definitely worth money. Food was great, staff was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant. Great soul food! If you like collared greens, cat fish, stuffing, fabulous fried chix, this is the place in town to go to. Dessert was very good apple cobbler with ice cream. She is gonna need a bigger dinning room she keeps this up.😉

Like a little piece of the South burped itself into Des Moines. This is some excellent buffet-style soul food cooked and served by people who love what they do. I cannot recommend this enough to anybody looking for some Chicken and Waffles. Everybody was so friendly and proud of their craft that the place seemed to induce a smile on the face of everybody who walked through the door. This is real deal comfort food. Of course this is some calorie-dense food, so enter at your own risk, you aren't leaving with less than a 1,000 calorie experience - and most people probably take double or triple that.
