Chuck the bartender is awesome! First time at the bar and he made it feel like home. The interaction the owners have with their customers is what makes a bar worth coming back to.

We went to Zimms yesterday to watch the UNI/ISUgame. There was one table of two people in the bar when we arrived. Our waitress came over immediately and took our order. The bartender ignored the order, for a long period of time, and the waitress came back and apologized. We glanced over and made eye contact, and after another five minutes or more, our order was finally filled. We also ordered food. The music was very loud, and we asked the waitress if they could turn it down. She asked the bartender to lower the volume and he did for approximately 5 seconds and then turned it back up again. The rude behavior of the bartender will keep us away and from coming back to this neighborhood bar. I do want to acknowledge that our waitress was wonderful and tried to make up for the ignorance of the bartender!

Zimm's is a neighborhood gem! We have never had anything from the menu we didn't like. Nachos are especially awesome! Admittedly, there was a time or two in the distant past when service was a little slow, but Zimm's seems to have addressed that issue and we have had no problems since. We love having Cortney as our host! She is friendly, attentive, and always remembers our beverage of choice!

My husband had the nachos and I had the plain burger this evening. Our waitress Courtney was amazing!! So nice, professional, and on top of everything. Even when she hurt her foot this evening, it didn't slow her down. My husband absolutely love the nachos, and my burger had the best char broil. A wonderful evening for my husband and me. Definitely recommend Zimm's.

Totally amazed with the remodel! Place is always clean and I was immediately said hello to when i entered. Food arrived timely and tasted amazing. My daughter laughed and danced to the "old time" music she said. I can't wait to go back with friends and hang outin the back bar sends like a great place to meet for happy hour drinks and specials. Thank you for being so cozy
