Once Again

In Response to the review by FINDATRUTH: The customers in question were three young adults. Our customer base ranges from teenage girls to ladies in their seventies, and we are delighted to serve them all. In fact, we regularly receive compliments for the excellent customer service. However; in return we ask respect, not only to us, but also, to the property that belongs to our consignors. Please have in mind that this is a consignment shop and the merchandise belongs to our consignors. We treat it with respect, and we ask the same from the buyers.

The three young adults received excellent service, even when they were very loud, when they created a huge mess and were disrespectful to the sales personnel. They tried on many gowns and they left them on the floor. It was clear that they had no intention of buying but only wanted to play. They created a chaos behind.

The sales lady cleaned fitting room floors without saying a word.

Then they moved to other sections of the store, and continued taking clothes off the hangers and creating new mess, all over again. It was at this point that the sales person asked them to please stop creating unnecessary work. We are happy to devote our time and energy when our customers are mindful of our consignors, their property, our work environment, and finally, our sales personnel. They became upset and they left.

Then we received a call from the mother, who stated that " the girls are just teenagers having fun", and demanded an apology. She was asked to come to the store with them, so we could bring all the facts out in the open, and we could clarify the situation.

Two of the girls came in with the mother. This was when the sales person had an opportunity to fully explain to the mother what had happened. The two girls were asked to provide their version of the events, but they declined. The mother then accused the sales person of rehearsing a speech and all three stormed out of the store.

In sum, we are happy to serve all our customers, we have a great number of happy, satisfied buyers who love shopping in our store, we have also happy consignors who trust we will responsibly take care of their beautiful items while in our store, and we build our business relationships on mutual trust and, above all, respect.

In response to the review by AMY MARINEWICH: We are happy to take items that are free of wrinkles, rips and stains, in presentable condition, and not in boxes. We also advise our consignors to please remove any yard sale stickers and bring your items on hangers. We happily provide hangers for your convenience. We reserve the right to decline items that do not meet these standards. When you bring your items in a presentable, dignified condition, you show respect to our buyers.

Absolutely horrible customer service! When I called to speak to the manager to complain about the employee and her terrible service, that same employee impersonated the manager and spoke about the employee in the third person. All the manager/employee could do was be very upset with me trying to justify her rude behaviour. She wouldn't even listen to what I had to say until I insisted to be heard.

She even enticed me down to the store to receive an apology but not only didn't apologize, but had a VERY poor attitude in going over the scenario from her point of view in order to continue to justify her behaviour. Not acceptable.

As a result of this, there are at least three families who used to shop there but are now no longer give this store another dime.

There are many other fine second-hand stores to shop at and I would encourage you to avoid this one.
