The impeccably landscaped Campus Martius Park is the welcome and meeting spot for locals and visitors alike. This beautiful attraction is open year round with a sand park in the summer and an ice skating rink paired perfectly with outdoor fire pit. At the center of it all is Parc, Detroit’s 5 star bistro style restaurant, for the perfect dinner or cocktails with friends or family.

Detroit did it right with this park beautifully situated in the heart of downtown. Have been there during all seasons and it's a blast! Ice skating soo much fun, just be patient on busy weekends, and even saw their version of the big city ball drop for NYE which was a great fun filled free family event! Kudos to the city they do an amount maxing job with this area!

Campus Martius, in downtown Detroit, is the site for the main stage for the Detroit Jazz Festival. This pleasant area, dotted with restaurants, coffee shops, hotels and other commercial venues, typically is dotted during the day with folks strolling or having lunch. This was the week for the Detroit Jazz Festival, and Campus Martius hosts the main stage, so the place was packed. The crowd was in great spirits, I saw no disturbances in my 3 days' attendance. This site is one block back from the waterfront, about 2 blocks from the Renaissance Center within walking distance from sports arenas for the Red Wings and Tigers, and soon the Pistons. Enjoy!

A year round Green Space for All!
Campus Martius Park has evolved beautifully over the years. The City of Detroit and it partners have truly given the people and Detroit and it's visitors a great, fun, and safe place to enjoy all year round. There are so many activities, and events, from dining, and concerts, to sport, movies, and relaxation for people of all ages. Definitely a must visit place... especially #Foodies!!!
