This place is usually great. However, I went in on a Thursday night at 11pm and despite the fact that they have food on their menu for this time of night they closed down the kitchen. It was clear that the staff just decided that they didn't want to be bothered. Unacceptable!

I end up eating here more times than I expected.
The atmosphere and surrounding people are enjoyable, and it resides in a really great pocket of the city. While I enjoyed most of my experiences, I have sent food back, and it was the first time I've done that in Detroit. It took me by surprise since the Fish and Chips is amazing along with their Raw Menu. While portions are small, what arrives is delicious and has a subtle depth of flavor which I enjoy. I need to explore their bar menu a bit more before I comment on drinks.

Craft Work is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown in the beautiful neighborhood of West Village. It is an absolute gem! We enjoyed the tuna poke, curry scallops and pork shoulder. Everything far exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to go back!

My experience was pretty good. The ambience was awesome. My drink was delicious. I had a sidecar. The food was interesting, I ordered the fish and chip. The chips were actually shoestring potatoes and I prefer french fries but it is what it is. The fish was a bit overcooked. Which made it hard to chew. But I still enjoyed the the coleslaw as a side.
