My wife and I have been patients of Prime Care under Dr. Yusef Williams for over 5 years, and we feel we receive excellent service under his care. Dr. Williams is empathetic, and takes great care to LISTEN, and shows great concern in ensuring he knows exactly what you are saying re your conditions, and always offers the right regimen, and pharmaceuticals (if necessary) to assist in achieving and maintaining your health. The staff at Prime Care is courteous, efficient and helpful. Prescription refills are handled expeditiously from the office to the pharmacy of our choice.
But we don't find Prime Care under the list of in-network clinics for United Health Care, and would like to have them included, or an explanation why they are not included.

I was the 2nd person in to get an employment physical. Finall y got called back after waiting well over an hour to do pre-screening. After that I was placed in an exam room and waited an additional "EXTENDED" amount of time. Beyond inefficient.

I had recently been injured at work and was told this is where I had to go..the initial nurse staff was kind then after hours of sitting where they had no one in lobby I had to practicly beg for a bed to rest my back then when I asked for pillow I was told they didn't think they had one..(back injury) the doctor nor his RN have no idea on how to treat this and claim a referral is treatment and don't care if meds prescribed are working also gave me discharge as can't do anything physical at this time but yet states able to work and have temp disability insurance papers brought to them and refuse to fill out this place is nothing more then a bandaid clinic

An hour wait for a simple blood draw. This happens more and more. They used to be fairly efficient, not so much now.

I went to PrimeCare to have my Vitamin D levels checked with Dr. Krista. I was told after the results came back to return in 5-6 weeks for a followup; to see where the Vitamin D levels were after an increase in Vitamin D dosage which he prescribed. I made an appointment for a physical with Dr. Jones (Something about Dr. Krista doesn't see appointments for physicals) and to have the Vitamin D levels checked for the follow up to my lab work with Dr. Krista. I specifically told Dr. Jones I needed Vitamin D levels rechecked per Dr. Krista. Two or three vials of blood was drawn (I wasn't looking). I called back a week later in the morning. I was told a nurse would call me that day and give me the results. No one called me back. The next day I called, irritated, and a nurse told me "Don't be rude". Amazing!!! She told me no Vitamin D levels were ordered because insurance only pays for ONCE a year Vitamin D level check. I called Medicare and Tri-Care and they both told me they will pay for it if a Dr. ordered a recheck; Which Dr. Krista did!! So after two or three vials, plus the first time in my life my arm ever swelled up at the site of the blood drawing and a bruise developed which was an actual 2 inches in diameter (Picture attached). Now I must have more blood drawn to see what my Vitamin D levels are. Although PrimeCare has a portal, many of the lab work blood results aren't labeled and they are incomplete. "Because it depends on whether we did the lab work here or had to send it off", plus those results on the portal, many are only the numeric results; no titles as to what they are. That doesn't help. I won't go back, and as a patient I would not recommend PrimeCare of Dothan.
