A horrible nightmare I rented a car on September 28th 2016 I did it online because if I walk in they don't have any cars available that's been my experience many times
I've been renting there for many years many many many times they know that I like and need a hatchback
Now this time I go to pick up the car and it's not a hatchback so I told the girl at the desk that I really would desire a hatchback and that I was going to keep the rental that I got today and she can call me when a hatchback becomes available I asked her would that be okay I told her I rented it for one day online and I'll keep it for as many days until hatchback comes about she said that's fine
4 days into it I'm calling them I'm calling them I never heard from them they never answer their phone so I went back in person ask her if a hatchback had come available they said no so I stayed with the original vehicle hoping that a hatchback would come available I figured it's been almost a week now
Then I get an email from loss prevention saying that I did not return the car I emailed them back telling them that I told the front desk on the day of the rental that I intended to keep the car for however many days I just wasn't sure how many and that she said that was perfectly fine
I said it will stay the same rate that everyday additional that I keep it she said yes so I said I don't understand why budget is emailing me asking me where the car is
So back in again I went told the front desk what was going on and she said not to worry that I'm fine so I left with the same vehicle a friend of mine asked me where is the paperwork I said I didn't get any he said then what do you have to prove that you check back in and I said I don't know I'm taking her on her word he said but that happened the last time and they would demand in the car back I said you know you're right meanwhile I got a certified letter from loss prevention at Budget Rent-A-Car demanding the return of the vehicle threatening me with prosecution telling me that any other Arrangement over the phone or in person speaking is invalid and I need to return the car so I did just that immediately I returned it and I closed it out
Now it gets worse I still needed a hatchback so I rented online I went in again they didn't have a hatchback matter fact they didn't have any car they told me to come back in 3 hours or so and and they'll have something for me I said at this point I'll take anything while I'm sitting there I'm on my phone into my credit card and debit account now I had gotten a good deal the day that I rented the car it was $25 that's one of the reasons why I held onto it because the next day because cars renting in the forties so she told me I close out of the vehicle the amount would be $150 4/6 days
These are the charges on my credit cards One credit card $117.63 plus an additional $86 plus another $60 now that totals $261.63
Now they had a second credit card of mine on file and I looked into that and I have another charge that charges $151.79 then there's an additional charge another $151.79.
All totales $565.21!!!!
That's $413.42 over what I was supposed to be charged imagine that unbelievable
So I said ladies we gotta fix this I was upset but not out of hand they told me they had nothing to do with those charges it was corporate and they threw their hands up in the air like nothing we can do so as I mentioned I was still waiting for another car that they didn't have that they told me wait 3 hours for and I call customer service the 800 number and explain to them that I'm in their location at the Cross Creek Mall and that I have this problem with a $413.42 overcharge and nobody could really seem to help me so I saidagain to the two girls listen you gotta admit this is egregious that's a lot of money they agreed that the charge was 15179 but they said the additional $413.42 was out of their hands. And then they called Mall security to have me removed from establishment!!!

I'm never walked out to the car the car is nine times out of ten very dirty inside
A few times I've reserved a car only to get there and they don't have a car for me but the independent operator will tell me she'll have something in a few hours.
I've waited up until closing and she still didn't have anything for me very unorganized the independent operator which is a nicer way of saying the manager .
is always on her cell phone inside and outside the establishment yet she hardly ever picks up the phone of the business it goes automatically to customer service now with the history of renting cars and not having them available I'd rather get it directly from where I'm picking up the car so I can be sure I have one but. you can call and Hardly ever will someone answer the phone when you tell them of this the manager will say they're very busy Meanwhile while I'm waiting hours for a car that I've already booked that they said they don't have ' Managers on her cell phone and I'll watch the business phone ring on and she will not answer it and that's the truth.
When I asked who I could make a complaint to she said she was the owner she was the top honcho no one above her she lied she's just the manager that's what an independent operator is but she didn't want the higher-ups to know how she's handling their business..

Omg! What a horrible place to rent a car from. The customer service representative D'Anna... was HORRIBLY NASTY!!!! I rented a car hours prior to pickup and come to find out that they run a credit check. At the time of confirmation the representative never told us they run a credit check. Every one knows every time a credit check is ran your score goes down. We had to have someone come from an 1hr away to rent the car and also I tried to reach the corporate office to speak with a supervisor and guess what NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK OR WE'RE THEY AVAILABLE! The manager was no where to be found and then D'Anna made us find the car we were renting. She never walked us out to the lot. JUST RUDE SHE WAS!!!! NEVER RENT A CAR FROM HERE!!!
