I have probably had one decent experience when one of my dogs broke out in hives. But other than that, I don't have any good words for these people.
I took my puppy in for his eye. Now, about this little guy, he found me at about a month old, not being able to walk and nothing but bones. I noticed his third eyelid started to protrude and wanted to do anything I could to keep it from getting worse. The fit's emergency night I went there, the doctor couldn't even understand the situation. It was as if he was shy to be around me and didn't know how to answer my questions. Nothing was really done for my poor baby except told what it possibly could be.
The next night his eye was worse and I rushed him back. This time the vet was a woman. She ignored every single thing I was telling her about him. And instead of focusing on his eye, she was focusing on how he was partially paralyzed. I told her his condition and that that's not what's worrying me at the moment. His eye was disappearing and a tumor was taking over. She didn't even seem concerned about that. He was prescribed eye ointment and a blood test was done. He was also prescribed so much medication I couldn't believe they would make a five month old puppy take all this. Then she talked about this special test that she wanted to do one him but it would require sending the sample to New York and it would cost god knows how much money. I was told I would receive a phone call in a couple days. Well, for one, he didn't have a couple days and two I never received a phone call. She was so damn cocky and thought she knew everything.
Usually if a vet could not provide a service because they didn't understand the problem, they referred me to a vet that could. I had to end up putting my little guy to sleep days later.

I took my Husky, Bushmills to VMS knowing he needed to be put to sleep due to spinal failure. The doctor and staff were caring and showed the utmost professionalism in doing this task for me and Bush. I just wanted to thank all of you for helping me through this horrible ordeal.

Our chocolate lab of 15 years 7 months went into distress fast, it was a Sunday night August 13, 2017. We have been through this before with our other dogs and knew the signs and we didn't want her to suffer through the night to wait to go to our usual vet. We went to Veterinary Emergency Service. The Vet Doctor was so nice and sympathetic she gave us all the time before & after the procedure. The staff was great. They even sent us a card with our dogs paw prints and that means the world to us. That was such a nice thing to do and I am very grateful. Its a hard thing to have to do but we stay with our pets through the end and Emergency Veterinary Service is a great place to have and we appreciate them very much. We have used them before for emergency situations that required stitches for a laceration and they have always been great. Thank you for being there when we need you.

I am so disappointed in this place. After witnessing a dog being hit by a truck on the way to work, I called and asked for help. They told me to bring the dog in, and they would do what they could. Once I got there, they wouldn't even look at the dog. They said it was too big. When I told them they should have told me that on the phone, she said they did. What??? I would remember being asked how big the dog was and being told it was too big. So I spent the next hour driving around trying to find a dignified way to lay this poor dog to rest.

They were fast and honest. Helped my dog when she was accidentally poisoned at home. She's now happy and healthy thanks to the great staff here at VES. THANK YOU.
