My boyfriend & I went here on Veteran's Day. He is retired military & Texas Roadhouse offers Veterans a free lunch. I had an email for a free appetizer. I showed the waitress the email & she wrote down the UPC code & took my order. The free appetizer arrived & we started to eat it. Shortly after, the waitress comes back & says the coupon is not valid on holidays. I said, "Ok then, here take it, I'm not paying for this." So she took the appetizer that we already had our fingers in back to the kitchen. Seriously? What are you going to do with the appetizer now at this point? This would have been no big deal if you would have told me this before bringing the food to the table. But the fact that you already served it to us, and then took it back is a little ridiculous. Nowhere on the coupon did it say not valid on holidays. I was a paying customer & not benefitting from any other discounts offered to me.

I enjoyed the smothered chicken with loaded steak fries and chili. It was an entree that truly defines excellency. However, the overall ambience of the meal was completely ruined by the crushing realization that I would not receive cinnamon butter until the meal was finished. The agonizing wait crushed my spirit. Cinnamon butter is a delicacy that no person should have to wait for.

Being a mother with two small children (1 and 2 year old) there isn't many restaurants we can go to as a family. Texas Roadhouse has always been very accommodating to our needs. Our children can be as loud as they want and NOBODY cares! We drive 45 min to get to there and it's well worth it. With call ahead seating we were able to call when we start driving and by the time we get there, it's a short wait until we get our table.

Ryan, you did a great job and deserve to be recognized. Our service was great and so was the food. To the chef, my steak was one of the most tender steaks I have ever had. Literally sliced it with one pull of the knife.
