Wally's Spot is a fine example of a classic NE Wisconsin supper club. I'm ashamed to admit that I grew up in Green Bay and this was my fist visit to Wally's, but happy to say it won't be my last.
Our visit was on a Saturday night in November. We went there on a whim, after having a rather poor experience at an "upscale" place the previous night. The lot was deceivingly packed, but there was plenty of space inside. We sat at the bar and were quickly served our drinks, which were top notch. They offer an ample selection of vegetables, crackers, bread and dips to munch on while you wait. There was even a duo of musicians playing quintessential lounge tunes.
The waitress took our order and showed us to our table. The entire place was dimly lit, with some more recent wall decorations that did nothing to hide the classic original charm of the 70's. Plenty of space between tables to have a quiet night together.
The meals we ordered included a salad, soup, entree, and potato choice. They also gave us a complimentary stuffed mushroom appetizer and a scoop of sherbet for dessert. I had the pan fried walleye and my wife had the baked cod.
The food wasn't to die for, but it was very good. And the portions were so large that I was hoping for some complimentary wheel barrows to roll me out of there. The bartenders provided some great sarcastic/dry humor that only pros can produce and our waitress was as friendly as can be.
All told, we were at about $60 for the two of our meals and a couple of drinks. Given the quality and portion size, I was more than happy to pay it. We had plenty of leftovers to take home with us.
If you enjoy traditional Wisconsin food fare and Old Fashioneds, give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Exemplary food, friendly staff, kind owners, and live jazz. Whats not to love? We came under dressed and we're greeted with open arms. Some of the fancier entrees are a bit pricy, but we'll worth their cost. Additionally, the more affordable sandwich menu offers some delectable comfort food that is simply bursting with flavor. I would recommend this establishment to anyone and will certainly be returning.

Old time Supper Club. Put your name in at the bar, have a cocktail with some toast points, cheese spread and liver pate with veggies. They will take your order from the bar and when seated enjoy the salad bar, good entree shortly follows. We enjoyed the live music on our last Saturday night visit. They do take reservations if desired. We had seafood platters which were excellent.
