I was institutionalised last year and sent to st.francis. During my stay I overheard multiple psych nurses make comments about their excitement for Trump, and more shockingly, they were mimicking and making fun of patients. The lady in the bed next to me had MS and was on disability, after she left I overheard a nurse named Alex mention how "her father had cancer and he never went on disability" . Then they went on to talk about my situation. UNPROFESSIONAL. These people should NOT be taking care of mentally ill people. After I was transferred one of the staff at 8 west called the patients "KOOKS". The hospital lost my yoga pants I came in with, and when I brought it up they gave me the run around. I apologised to the man handling the issue for being annoying and he responded to the effect of "its okay people with bipolar sometimes become overwhelmed", although Im not bipolar and I've never been formally or informally diagnosed with the illness... The entire situation was off-putting to say the least. I would never regard 8 west as a place of healing for anyone but addicts. The staff are uninspired, overworked, inappropriate, insensitive, and the department is mainly geared towards addicts. I wouldnt be surprised if they lost their funding.

I did a physical with them on June 29th took 1 month a 2 days for me to get a result back from and I had call several times and not once they call to tell me to come and pick up my results. I had to stop in and wait for an hour to get my results. The worst.
