We were told the only way they would have our reservation ready was if "all the returns are in on time" and not to be in line until after that moment or pay more money to upgrade for a car they did have. After having to express we were not willing to pay more, our reservation was ready 7 minutes later. The car itself was nice (basic fuel economy) and provided no issues.

Dollar did a wonderful job as usual. Car Walton to go as soon as I got off the plane. Mid size sub was perfect.

Midsized Hyundai SUV had a bit of a musty smell when we first got in. I didn't think much of it, we were in a rain forest afterall. However that night when we got in to go to dinner there were dozens if not a hundred bugs crawling all over the center console. They scurried away quickly when the light was turned on. I did a quick google search to make sure they weren't bed bugs, they were not, but not sure what the were. I'll post a picture if I can figure out how.
I rented cars from several different Dollar locations on several different islands. They were all a bit pushy about upgrading but other than that and the bugs in this car it was a good overall experience.

My experience was great! The staff was ready and even gave me an upgraded car. They also warned me about traffic stops nearby which I appreciated.
Checkout was easy as was check in after we used the car. The price was good and everything was smooth.
