I used to come here for lunch once or twice a week when I worked downtown and loved it even though it was like eating in a basement. I stopped going when I retired a few years ago.
Recently, I saw some sort of renovation going on and later visited to check out any changes. What a disappointment! Little change to the basement ambiance, but now surly wait staff have replaced the smiley ones and hip-hop playing on the sound system will keep me out for good.
They get three stars for nostalgia reasons.

The food was so delicious!! Good prices, lots of food. The service was ok, but it did not even matter since the food was so yummy.

This place was so delicious. From out of town, came hungry, left happy and full. Huge fantastic portions! And affordable

We went here for father's day, and our service from the younger asian boy was HORRIBLE. He gave us about 20 mins to stare at the menu. We had to flag him down multiple times for more water (which he took forever to come back with) and he forgot a side order which had been missed by the cook. He never stopped by to check if we needed anything. We ordered hot tea which never came, and a sangria pitcher that never came. And each time we asked him for water and the missing side order he made a face as if he was so annoyed, and his tone of voice was rude. He's lucky that my sister left a tip because he deserved nothing.
Nori's, you need to get rid of this kid as a server; I'm sure he'd be better off staying in the kitchen. Two stars simply because my dad enjoyed his food.
***The cherry on top of this whole experience was having our slippers stick to the floors on our way out. Gross.
