The service was great, location is awesome, but the food was not what we expected. Everything lived up to what we thought it would be, a quiet dinner by the ocean with some beautiful scenery. When it came to the food though, there was something left to be desired. The meals were not bad, by any means, but for the prices they charge they should be better.

Pretty great restaurant. Amazing ambiance and a perfect view of the sunset if you get there at the right time and have an outside table. Lots of fresh seafood dishes, mixed with traditional French, and strongly slanted towards Asian flavor (moreso than traditional Hawaiian) -- for example, furikake rice, kimchi pickled vegetables, Hong Kong style kampachi. Obviously very tourist heavy.

So long as you go in with eyes wide open regarding cost (it ain't cheap to eat here) this will be a fantastic experience. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and presented and downright delicious. The table side poke and the beach Bim bop truly stood out. But the highlight of the evening may have been our server Eva. She was friendly and attentive and seemed to truly understand and appreciate the menu. We will definitely return the next time we are in Honolulu.
