This may be a famous spot, but it's not even remotely as good as these reviews make it seem. The drinks are syrup and sugar bombs, the fish and chips came to the table drenched in oil. Yes, it's fried, I know, but proper temperature of the oil and draining before plating would've been nice. The only saving grave was the staff, who are very welcoming and warm.

Good fish tacos! A little spicy though so if you cannot tolerate heat I would get something else. Everything at our table was very good! One more thing.. there isn’t a sign on the outside of the area where they are located. When we asked a salesperson across the street if she knew where Duke’s was she said that she gets asked this question “ALL OF THE TIME!” Duke’s needs to hang a sign outside of their location to fix this.

Dukes' is a cool place to go for a decent view and a bit of nostalgia from the old surf days located in one of the original hotels, the Outrigger. Surf memorabilia and pictures of (I assume Duke??) and his friends adorn the walls. It seems more of a restaurant than a poolside place to grab a snack but wet people were walking around which didn't seem to fit in my opinion.

The fish tacos were great although my daughter was not a huge fan of the Korean Beef street tacos. I'd say this would more of a "bar food" type of place. The drinks were all delicious. Overall we had a good experience here and would have no problem recommending it.

I had a very great experience here. We held a wedding reception for 50+ guests. Lisa who was the group events coordinator was extremely helpful with planning our event. The private lanai and pool deck offered the perfect atmosphere and the ukulele duo gave that finishing touch. To be honest we weren't expecting a lot with the buffet based on the limited description but all our guests were blown away with how delicious and plentiful the food was. The beef was tender, fish moist, calamari add on was a highlight, Mashed potatoes were savoury and all the guests clamoured over the freshly baked Hawaiian sweet bread. THe service and bar tending staff were very helpful and attentive and they made a the night perfect. A big thanks to everyone at Dukes. Our wedding reception was a highlight of the summer for a lot of people and you can't really beat the outdoor location right on the beach. I would highly recommend any large group event to consider Dukes for a fantastic evening!

The calamari was perfectly cooked and served with an addicting variation of a cocktail sauce. Sirloin was cooked exactly as I requested and was well seasoned. Lobster tail was a little over cooked, but still delicious. Salad bar has an excellent selection of fresh vegetables and dressings. The carrot and banana nut muffins are delightful. The salad bar is more than worth the $4 additional charge. Drinks are over priced, but no worse than other nearby restaurants. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and at the very least worth the money I spent.
