Brought my new puppy here because of all the recent positive reviews. This clinic is one that provides a free visit within a week of adopting from the Humane Society. From the beginning, parking was atrocious. I had to circle the clinic for 30 minutes before finding a spot. Once inside, I waited for an hour and a half to be seen. Once seen, I asked when her next round of shots will be, requested her be tested for worms, etc. Nothing crazy; just basic things. They kept coming up with excuses. I told them I'd pay for everything extra, but still no luck. They said until she is showing signs of an illness, there was no reason to do anything. I guess they don't care much about prevention. Two days later, I noticed she had worms in her stool. I decided to take her to Pet Vet over by Salt Lake Blvd. They ran tests, did a full check up, and set me up with exact dates for future vaccines and check ups. Even more, they waived the check up fee.

In summary, if you want to pay to have someone tell you your dog is cute, go to Kalihi Pet Clinic.
If you want anything medically related, go elsewhere.

One of the most reasonably priced clinics on the island, with the most caring staff and knowledgeable Dr around.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Obara and staff for the caring and sensitivity they showed us recently when we made the heart-wrenching decision to have our beloved cat, Scooter, put to eternal sleep. Dr. Obara took the time to explain things, affirm our decision, and give comfort. Everything went smoothly and more peacefully than I had imagined. The waiting room was completely filled with waiting patients, but Dr. Obara did not rush a thing, and seemed to be concerned with making sure Scooter and we were treated with the utmost comfort and caring. *Special hugs to Auntie Diana, who really understood and had a rapport with our high-strung cat. We are grateful to all of you!

We have been going to Kalihi Pet Clinic for over 5 years. The service is excellent. Everyone is so caring. They really care about each pet. They are kind and gentle with the animals. My chihuahua Maltese mix is terrified of people but she loves and trusts the vets and staff at Kalihi pet clinic which says a lot . The prices are reasonable. I would never go anywhere else.

Busy vet clinic, but has a long standing positive history with previous Veterinarian. Current Veterinarian is nice and patient with all his patients and humans. The staff are nice, but when it gets busy just remember they are doing their best to make sure everyone gets seen.
