If you are looking for classic value in a hotel, this is the place. If you are looking for a modern corporate national chain style motel with superficial perks and extras, this is not the place for you. As for me, I love the feel of this place. One reviewer complained about the bathroom fixtures being out of the fifties. Actually there were luxury fixtures from pre-Depression times. (1929) That to me says a lot about quality that stands the test of time.

If you like out of the way historic hotels this one is excellent. The rooms are clean, the staff is super friendly and the architecture is great. The in-hotel restaurant, Angel's in the Park is nicely upscale, and you will pay very reasonable fine dining prices. The food is worth every penny. We had the peppercorn steak that was the special and it was absolutely fantastic.

This is a wonderful antique hotel. It has a bar and a delicious Italian restaurant. Staff is great, it's clean, plumbing, hvac and internet are fine. It has loads of personality and charm. Anybody who complains about it smelling old or needing updated or anything similar should be barred from places like this, they don't deserve them!

Elegant vintage hotel. The proprietors are working to keep it up, but it's a work in progress. All in all it was worth a visit. The rooms and lobby have an authentic feel. The small staff was friendly and helpful.

The Park Hotel is not intended to be the Marriott Courtyard; if that's what you want, go stay near the interstate. This is a treasure and a rare glimpse into mid-century America. Experiences like this have all but disappeared, so when my girlfriend and I saw this on the website, we booked a room.
We stayed in a corner suite with windows that opened up to smells of hyacinth and honeysuckle. We enjoyed seeing the dark, heavy wood along the hallways, with inlaid tile from 1930 on all floors. The restaurant is classy-chic and romantic, and the bar, although small, is intimate and encourages conversation. I hope you will not discount this Hot Springs treasure!
