The managers and staff are always really nice. The seasonal events are always fun and the hammocks/picnic tables give it a very relaxed vibe. Always have a nice time here. WOULD RECOMMEND. Anyone who has given a bad review were probably too drunk or doing something they weren't supposed to do. BEST BAR IN HOUSTON.

Great outdoor (mostly) bar with a fun atmosphere. Not too loud to have a good conversation. Decent prices. Good selection on both the beer and cocktail fronts. Dog-friendly (best part).

Axelrad is as cool as it gets. The vibe is great, there's a large patio, they have a stack of board games at the ready, hammocks are part of the outdoor seating, it's dog friendly, and they're active in the community.
Everything about this place is amazing except that bar service can be pretty slow.
Not slow enough to prevent me from giving Axelrad five stars.
I'll go back again and again.

I am really fortunate to live walking distance to this chill bar. There is always a place to sit and if you are lucky, there is a hammock! That have a lot of hammocks but they are almost always full. And you can bring your pup!!! The outdoor space is amazing and has a great vibe.
They have different activities going on during the week. Movie night - the screen is huge and you can actually hear it! So yes it's worth checking out. Jazz night is also a soothing win.
They are always changing up their long beer list and spicing up their cocktail menu.
They have a food truck or two options each night - usually very tasty.
You can also get s pizza at the place next door and bring it over!
Also with parking they usually have an attendant in the front helping which, which is awesome!! The bar staff is also very friendly!

Unique. A setting for all occasions. I come to do work here regularly but also come as a started to the night. They have awesome food trucks and food stands almost every night. Movie nights on Mondays, super nice outdoor projector. Great beer selection. This is the place I always take people new to the city.
