After a wonderful experience at the Brennan's in New Orleans we thought it would be a good idea to try the Houston location. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was also great as well. The Gulf Fish Pontchartrain was excellent, with the only negative that the shrimp on the dish felt like a bit of an afterthought. The Crab Bisque was excellent, as was the Bananas Foster and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. The bread was also amazing. Overall it was an excellent meal.

Excellent service. Great food. Cozy and romantic ambiance. Upscale but not pretentious. No shorts, no sneakers, no ripped jeans etc.

When we walked in the hostess told us that it was a certain dress code but we were welcomed to sit at the bar or a table outside, when we walked over to the bar the bartender told us that we couldn't sit there because someone was sitting there (which nobody was, i think she didn't want us sitting at the bar because we're black🤷🏽‍♀️), we ended up sitting at one of the tables next to the bar. Our overall experience was okay, my food was really good (i got the Gulf Fish Pontchartrain) it was an easy 7 out of 10.. my girlfriend however wasn't too pleased with her meal (she got the Barbecued Grilled Shrimp Poboy), she said it was too cold and she didn't really want to complain. Mind you we're the only black ppl there. We got a pecan pie to share and it was amazing.

First time there since renovated. The service was great, beginning from the valet to the waiters, BUT my dish was not great! Ordered the Sweet Tea Smoked Chicken & Spinach Salad. It seemed as if it was just thrown in there with dark chicken and a hen egg which is pretty much poached, but closer to raw. The Sweet Tea Smoked Chicken tasted all but like sweet & smoked. So then we decided to switch that salad out for A Creole Cobb salad with White Chicken. Well....it was worse! It seemed as if the Chef threw in the chicken from the previous salad (not white meat as requested) and this time with bones in it! It seemed as if they were bones from a Cornish chicken. I was trying my best to eat the greens part of the salad, but then the waiter saw the bones on the side of plate and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was very apologetic and my meal was on them. I went there to have a nice meal not to get a free meal. The waiter Manuel was very nice as well as the rest of the staff. Because of that I will return and perhaps I will have a better experience. It is a beautiful place.

We had our 5 year anniversary dinner here and we were mesmerized by the amazing service they provided. We usually eat here about once a year on special occasions and we never think twice about where to go. They truly make you feel special and provide the same service to everyone that walks in through those doors. The kitchen had a little mishap with our order but the waiter and manager wen't above and beyond to make the situation right. Don't forget to leave space for the bananas foster. Not only is it a good table side show, but its one of my favorite desserts.
