The decor inside Mr. Peeples is interesting, very artsy & different. I've been here twice and the food has been good both times. The meatball appetizers is great. The scallops were good. The mac & cheese is amazing. I had the pork chops which were very tender. I tried a piece of the pistachio crusted chicken and it was better than my pork chops. I wanted to switch!
Good service. I've only been during the weeks and each week, it's been kind of dead. But I think they're popular for the parties they have on weekends. The manager came to our table and asked us if we were doing good and if we wanted a tour of the penthouse upstairs so we did. Their meeting/event space upstairs is amazing. It has an industrial look but like a New York vibe with a loft feel and view of the Houston skyline. They also have private lounge space downstairs. The chandeliers and decor is supposed to be Vegas style. Nice spot.

I came here once during restaurant week with three friends, and even though the server knew we were getting the deal, we were still treated with respect. We spent some time at the bar before our table was ready even though we had reservations, and had our good drinks delivered in a relatively timely fashion - if you go in with realistic expectations for how long it takes to get service at a busy bar that it is. All of the food we got (I had the filet) was very very good, and cooked exactly how we wanted it. You are most certainly paying for the atmosphere at this place, but the food was still fabulous and service wonderful. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
Although I have teetered on the edge of four stars because of the long wait to get seated, the not super speedy bar service, and the high prices, I went with five just because i DID get a deal during restaurant week and most everything else was on point.

I have been coming to Mr. Peeples for the last 2 years, I have also booked private parties here. I have never had the treatment I had this past Saturday 11/21/2015. The restaurant was under staffed and my waiter had to cover 3 large tables including ours which seated minimum of 10 guest. Our food took a hour and half to arrive to our table cold!! I ask the manager could I get a steak knife she picked up the butter knife on my table and waved it in my face and said this is your steak knife. I said I need to speak to your manger she said I am the General Manager. She lied and told me her name was "April Stephens" in which the waitstaff told me that wasn't her name. This restaurant was suggested by me to celebrate my sisters birthday and it ruined her birthday dinner.

This is me and my wife first time here. It is very beautiful. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is wonderful. The staff is amazing. We have found a new place to come for Brunch on Sunday. You will enjoy.

Loved the Vegas-like Decor. Loved the glazed ribs, texture and taste were right on. The lobster bisque was good, but a bit salty for my taste. The beef filet was really tender and cooked just right, definitely recommend it. Very good wine selection and prices. Overall, a very nice (and pricey) experience.
