I went though a travel agency because I wanted all my travel arrangements handled by a professional and thought traveling in a group should have been cheaper than traveling solo. I paid more that twice what I would have paid if I had done it myself. I paid $1700 for a cruise to Aruba. I was instructed by the travel agent to go on to carnival and book myself. I traveled with my 15 year old son but I did not sit with him going or coming back on the plane. No excursions were included in that that $1700. Not including the plane tickets or transportation from airport to port, I found out the cruise by itself was about $795.
