Lovely tea service, and they have very tasty chicken and tuna salads. A good place for a light, social lunch. EDIT: they will be closing permanently Sept. 3rd 2016. Get it while you can!

Came in to get the tea room experience before Emma's closed. Worse experience ever. Emma acted as though she didn't want us there. Emma had us thinking we could be seated in 15 minutes. The mother told her to that it would be longer since they had a party ending. Instead of telling us, she walks off ignoring is. A few minutes later the mother had to tell us. The mother was very sweet and so was the rest of the people. Emma acted scared to even look toward us. I'm guessing because we were black and my male cousin had braids. I mean how much of a threat could he have possibly have been for him to go to a tea room with a bunch of women. Come on. Thug don't sip tea lol. My cousin is 17 years old graduating from high school this year, plays football for his school and going to college next year. He is never in trouble, super sweet and hella shy.
We decided to go ahead and wait since I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile. So disappointed. I was less than impressed with the menu. So basic. I even looked around to see what others were eating to see if something looked delicious. Nothing made me say, "I want to try that". The salads were very skimp as though they were running low on lettuce. If I pay $7 or $8 on a salad it needs to be larger than 4 pieces of lettuce. The sandwiches looked like something you made at home. And the fruit cups looked like they just emptied a can of fruit into a tea cup. So I just got a dessert and tea. The desserts were good but I was so hungry I had to go to Chikfila. I didn't get to try the tea because after waiting about 20-30 minutes for it to come, I forgot what I ordered and decided to leave. I drink tea everyday. It does not take that long to make tea. Busy or not, it's a tea room. They should have 2 or 3 tea kettles boiling at all times. Also, a group of people were sitting on the porch eating with their dog. Once they left, no one came to clean the dishes off the table. The mess sat there the entire time we were there and surrounded by flies. On the way out, I confronted Emma on how she offendede as well as my cousins and aunt. She claimed that she wasn't scared of us. Her mother tried to use the excuse that's she is young. I said, "I'm young too". Pretty much to letting her know that's no excuse to stereotype someone. Glad they are closing down if this is how they treat their patrons that do not look like them. Worst experience ever.

It was very delightful. And the atmosphere felt as if i was at a spa. I recomenned trying the chicken fruit salad with a pot of kiwi pair. Thank you Emmas Tea Room.
P.S. piper and leaf tea selection would be nice.

My mother in law and sister in law planned a Bridal Tea for my daughter here. She's loved the look of this place for years and have even taken photos in front of it because her dog is named Emma. I've always thought it was precious from afar so when locations around town came up for the Bridal Tea, this was our first choice! We walked in on a random Saturday and the owner immediately sat down and started chatting with us. We planned almost everything that day. Almost a year later we had the event and I couldn't hear one complaint. The food was amazing, and the tea was a hit! We loved all of the tea choices and there was enough for guests to try each of them! The chocolate covered strawberries and cake were my favorite things. The cake was light with the best buttercream icing I've ever tasted. I am still hearing about how perfect that cake was today! I certainly would choose this place for any event. I can't wait to use them for events in the future!

I needed light refreshments (Coffee, tea, cookies, etc...) for a memorial for my father. The cookies and little cakes were fantastic, but the thing I remember most was the display. The hostess kept everything looking full and inviting and the guests never noticed she was even there. I was able to pay electronically using my phone too. I appreciated everything about the experience.
