I phoned the Hip office to check on how often I could get a vision exam and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Bryan, He by no means was gentle! He first told me I receive 1 eye exam every 3 yrs then when i repeated the 3 yrs, but I am an Uncontrolled Diabetic and i have to wait 3 yrs. and he said no mam' every 2 yrs. I stated you said every 3 years first and he rudely said in a loud tone, "No Mam' I said every 2 yrs." I do not believe anyone using that tone with anyone should be in Customer Service !! I made it clear to him that his tone was unnecessary !

Sadly, the administration is just pathetic. I am a parent who is an authorized rep w/ state but not with MHS. Don't they get that if the patient were able to jump through all the hoops involved w/ allowing family to help w/ account, then they probably would not need help at all?? Three different invoices sent in 10 days, with three different amounts--and I can't be told which amount to pay? How in the world does that pertain to privacy? Ridiculous.

The mother of my children has a heart dr diagnosed heart problem that requires a cardiologist so I'm not sure why you think it's ok to deny her coverage of a cardiologist because it's "not necessarily".

This is by far the WORST medical insurance I've had experience with! My younger sibling has been constantly sick, and we have been to other doctors for second opinions, and your resolution is to send a letter telling US that he now needs a doctors approval to even go to any ERs? This is beyond RIDICULOUS. A child is seriously sick and you choose to hold him back from getting the help he needs and getting the tests run that he needs? My mother and I are to our WITS END. Things need to change if you want to be known as a good health insurance because right now you guys are terrible.

I've always had great service, except for maybe once or twice. After having issues with Anthem supposedly losing my boyfriends and then my information and canceling us for no reason, I decided it was time for a change. Granted they aren't perfect, but what company really is? Only major issue I've ever had was with billing, being that I receive bills stating I owe a dollar, but there is a credit. I highly recommend going to the online site to check your statements. Then, there is an issue with the pharmacy. When they (MHS) updates their system when the states sends them new information, it takes a while to update and caused a few glitches at the pharmacy, but the customer service team always fixed the issue by calling the pharmacy and confirming my benefits so I could get my medications. You never know unless you try, but I've always had a positive experience with this company.
