This was the most difficult and disappointing car rental experience I have ever had. At this point, I will never use Avis again to rent a car. Our group had made a reservation for a van for Friday 10, 2017 at 4pm. We called while on our way to confirm the van was ready and were told it was. This was a lie.
When we got to Avis we were told the car was not there and they didn’t know where it was. The employee called the dispatch team, but they never picked up. He told us there was nothing else he could do while we waited for 2 hours and missed the check in for the event we needed the van for. The employee was extremely unhelpful and sat doing nothing while I tried to get a hold of Avis customer service (they never picked up). I was able to find a number for the regional supervisor and called him to leave a message.
Again, the Avis employee did nothing and told us that we would have to wait around until the car was “maybe” turned in. Eventually we were able to get our van. It was not clean, had low tire pressure, half a tank of gas, and we later realized the fuses were both broken, so none of the battery chargers worked. I understand the mix-ups happened and cars are turned in late. This wasn’t the problem, it was the complete inability to help us or take any steps to resolve the problem. I would never rent a car here again.

I absolutely love the people at Avis located at the Lexington hotel ... I'm always out in a timely manner and my needs are always met.. thanks Craig and Greg for your outstanding customer satisfaction .

Friendly and helpful management work this location. Always a pleasure to rent here. Greg goes above and beyond. I have a corporate account with Enterprise but now rent from the team here. There is no competition this is truly the best customer service I've received when renting a vehicle.
