Family member has been there for 3 days now and nobody has given us any information despite repeated requests from my lawyer and myself. No calls have been returned. They have left our family in turmoil.

I was admitted (involuntary) into Brynn mar on December 10th 2015(12 turnining 13, I am now going to be 15)I didn't get out until 3 days before Christmas eve after a court hearing.
There were two good staff and the nurse herself was very helpful. While they did load me up with 15 different medications, there were thieving boys and girls, fights, etc. But It was overall a good place.
The food was very good(besides the grits) and I had made friends there.
While we did have calls every wednsdays, it did become "packed" and had to wait until other days.
One staff, Mrs.Stacy, was my favourite. She was sweet, she helped more than their therapy did. She would allow kids to listen to CLEAN versions of their choice of music, when we went outside, we danced, took turns on the swings, played ball, drawn and colored, etc.
When day shift switched out as night shift came in, they would talk to you until you fell asleep. They were sweet too.
Overall it was a good place despite the bad happenings.

there are ants all over the place they think that a square will protect you from some one strangling you it is completely unsafe no one does any thing to help you. they overdose you with medications you don't need and if i could i would give it 0 stars

Awful place. No therapy, incompetent staff. Run as nothing but a for-profit mental health hospital.

Went involuntary. I missed school for a treatment that did literally nothing. I didn't need to be there but they forced me to take medicine, which should be illegal but it's hard to get any better when you focused on all the drama girls cause in small confinements. Good luck to anyone who gets sent there.
