I have used Dead End BBQ for company catering on two separate occasions (so far)- one big client event and one small office lunch. I have also dined in there multiple times. Every experience has been great, and catering manager Leah Harville is fantastic to work with. I have never received cold (if it's a hot dish) or incorrect food, and I am confident that if anything ever were wrong, it would be corrected without hassle. At the large event, we also hired their employees to set up, serve, and bus and were very happy with that service as well. Due to the size of our order, they also brought an on-site smoker, which added to our event. Highly recommend Dead End for catering and regular dining.

The quality of the meat varies from excellent to so-so depending on your visit. Sides are always great. Even during busy times, food is delivered quickly to the table.

As the BBQ offerings have increased locally this place has not held up. The brisket was dry and tough - the sauces were eh (little ketchupy) The blue cheese slaw was good, but that's about the only side I enjoy. I will say - their ribs are very good, we got the appetizer to split. I only wish I had ordered them as my entree.

Dead End has some of the best BBQ in Knoxville in my opinion. Their chicken and brisket are my two favorite choices of meat, and its always very good BBQ. Also get either the mac-n-cheese or the sweet potato fries, they put cinnamon sugar which is very good. Service is also good, even when the place is packed you still get your food reasonably quick. I personally take advantage of their takeout and the food is always still warm when I get there. Over all it is a great restaurant and you will definitely want to stop by.

Ordered the pulled smoked chicken platter with okra and pimento mac and cheese. Place was very busy however my food came out quick. The chicken was a little dry added a little more BBQ sauce and it was okay. The sides were delicious okra was not too soggy or tough just right and the mac and cheese is always a winner. Dead end BBQ has always been a excellent choice for great comfort food.
