Three of the stars above are for the Pastor whom we've been to previously for confession; one star for today.
My wife and I have to go out of town next week and we prefer to go to confession before we do, so we drove to ICC and arrived at 11:55 AM on Friday, 29th July...a five mile drive from where we were located today.
Someone was already in the confessional. Mass was scheduled to start at 12:10 PM. The conversation was so audible, I clearly heard the word "motorcycle" and what appeared to be laughing. At 12:07 PM, the "penitent" left, apologizing. When I entered the confessional, the priest was standing, facing away and taking off his stole. When he heard me he turned and said, "I have Mass in 3 minutes, if you can make it quick." Since both my wife and I were there, and the Sacrament of Penance deserves more respect, we opted to wait but our decision will force us to travel over 50 miles out of our way to another priest..., one we have been to before, who takes his ministry seriously. Now I have to confess my disdain for this priest and his apparent disrespect of the sacrament and God's people. They should put the priest's name on the door the way they used to. Shame on you, Father and shame of the Paulists!

Beautiful historic church! I was surprised there were very few people there on sat. mass for such a nice church.
