We love Dr. John. He is extremely thorough and makes sure to listen to all of your concerns. He never makes you feel rushed. Can't recommend him enough!

Dr. Swabe is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have two daughters, almost three and 3 months, and everytime we visit the office, Dr. Swabe takes time to answer the many questions I have and reassure me. I feel very confident in his ability to care for my daughters. I love the fact that this is an association practice because kids get sick at all times, and we are always able to get in the same day, most of the time within hours! My 3 year old is very social, and she absolutely loves to go here to talk to all of the sweet staff members, especially Nurse Jackie (spelling)!

Being a KPA kid myself, I love the practice and Dr.Larmee! I wouldn't take my daughter any where else!

Both the KPA website and our insurance website list this practice as an approved provider, so we were happy to call yesterday to try to schedule a "well" appointment for our son. The receptionist told us that they were indeed accepting new patients, and my wife spent several minutes on the phone providing personal contact information, etc.
Then, she was asked about our insurance, and told them: "Our son is on CoverKids." "Oh. Well, actually, we are not accepting new patients at this time."
"But you said... and your website says..."
"Sorry. no new CoverKids patients."
I've tried calling the practice to try to get an explanation, but no one seems willing to talk with me. I have no choice but to think KPA discriminates against kids with certain types of insurance-- i.e., kids whose families do not rise to a certain level of affluence.
The notion that a practice with such a sterling reputation and so many different providers can't find the time to work with a kid on Medicare is appalling, and shameful. I will urge my friends and family members to seek out a pediatric practice that is more willing to provide healthcare services to a wider range of local kids in need. (And, one with higher standards of customer service.)

It takes forever to see the doctor go see someone else. Get assessed fees for missing apts.
