During my stay in Knoxville, my company and I were told of a speakeasy behind the Oliver Hotel. It was a little tricky to find but we found "the red light in the alley." The doorman (for which I'm not sure there is a more accurate name) was incredibly kind and once we were seated the server was pleasant and concise. The ambiance had a really classy feel that made the night feel special, and so we went again the next night.

We really enjoyed stepping back in time at The Library. The cocktails were unique and the bartenders knowledgeable. We even got to peruse an old encyclopedia. Super nerd fun!

Super charming hotel with a great bar and two terrific restaurants. Great place to come visit with plenty of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. Great and friendly staff with a touch of southern charm.

The Peter Kern Library is Knoxville's very own speakeasy. It is not your typical bar. The atmosphere is very intimate and cozy, people talked in hushed tones, no obnoxious music blaring. This is where you want to go on a date or to relax with your friends. The cocktails are mixed to perfection. Hands down the best drinks in town.
