Well...I signed up for the black card on 7/13/17 and decided to make this location my home gym since its closest to my partment. Today is 7/15/17 and I maybe already cancelling my membership due to RUDE staff. First of all, my family and I moved to Knoxville late last year so we are still fairly new to the area and don't know very many people. I signed up online on the 13th and picked up my welcome info and card on the 14th. My husband is a very popular and upcoming barber in the area and works 60-70+ hours on his feet every week and was excited to hear that Planet Fitness has massage chairs because he is in pain a lot. So after I got my information and came home, my husband wanted to go check out the gym and sit in the massage chairs. This is where it went from a positive experience to a VERY NEGATIVE experience fast. When we came back to planet fitness last night, my daughter (she's 3) and I sat in the car while my husband went inside. He returned within minutes. He said he walked in, scanned the card, and went straight to the massage chairs. He didn't want to workout, he just wanted to sit and get some relaxation. First, the employee (it was a guy) came up to him and called him BIG DOG instead of SIR. I thought there was no gym intimidation at Planet Fitness? Second, he said "you are using your GIRLS card" Ummm...I am his WIFE and he actually pays for the black card membership for me (I am a stay at home mom) when you can have UNLIMITED GUEST and technically I was there, I was just in sitting in the parking lot with our child since we have NO BABYSITTER. Third...he showed him that there are CAMERAS EVERYWHERE. So are you insisting my husband is a thief or a criminal? So my husband tells me this and I'm so infuriated. So I'm not sure why your employee had to be so nasty and rude to my husband and try to embarrass him in front of others. Planet fitness stands by making people feel comfortable and no gym intimidation, but yet it was the worst experience and I literally just signed up 2 days ago. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping my membership. I'm writing this review because I want my husband and I voice to be heard that it was one of the most disrespectful experiences we've had here in Knoxville.

LOVE this location. Unfortunately, this isn't my home location but I will be switching to this one. Staff is SUPER friendly and everything is always really clean!

Love the theme of this workout place and their equipment. Especially the hydro massage beds. Great price also at $20 per month.

Very clean gym. The equipment is excellently maintained. The staff is professional and helpful. It seems that everyone that goes to the gym had the general consensus to be respectful of others. It really feels like a judgement free zone as their ads say.
