AMAZING!!! This place has the most delicious southern cooking and the unique cocktails are to die for. I don't know if we will ever be back to Knoxville anytime soon, but if we are - this is the place we will eat. Is it possible to rate this place 10 stars?

Came here at about 6 on a Monday evening. Such a cute atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the pimento nachos, carolina grilled chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. Food was amazing and served very quickly. Our server Alan was very sweet and made great conversation. We mentioned to him that we were driving through the night to Florida after dinner and he sent us home with a bag of warm biscuits and jam for our trip. Will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Chattanooga!

Based on prior experiences at the Charlotte location I am giving this experience an extra 1.5 stars... Slow and clumsy service.... Coffee was presented and we asked for cream... Cream was brought about 2-3 min later but no sugar... I then unrolled my silverware thinking a spoon would be in there... Nope, a spoon was then offered... An 8-10 process for coffee... Took a sip of water and the glass was jagged and chipped on rim, scraped my lip... Accuse ts happen.. I let the server know, he took my water and 5 min later gave me a fresh glass... 30 min after being seated and ordering our eggs Benedict and avocado toast has not arrived... We flagged down a polite server and asked for a manager... At the 37 min mark a young lady came to out table w out food and went to drop off the food with the phrase, "sorry for the wait... " and began to walk away... I said, "pardon me are you the manager" she confirmed she was and I asked her what the issue was with the wait... She advised the kitchen was backed up, smiled and excused herself... My eggs were cold.
Restaurants get busy and things happen, this overall poor experience could have great with a bit of communication and having someone speak to out table and advise on a hold up... A simple procedure like having a teaspoon rested on a coffee saucer when it is served and having a table preset w sugar during brunch... The four stars are for what my prior experience have been and let's call this a fluke...
Good luck TH!

Had been wanting to eat here for a long time and was excited about going. It did not live up to our expectations. I had read the mixed reviews and I must agree with the negative ones. I had Shrimp
and Grits ($22), which were average. My husband had the Fried Chicken ($18). He could have gotten better chicken at Cracker Barrel for half the price. We had reservations and were seated promptly after waiting several minutes for the Hostess to get off the phone. She never acknowledged us the whole time we waited. After being seated, our waiter took our drink order and said he would be back with the drinks, biscuits and honey. He brought the drinks, said nothing of the biscuits. We asked for them twice to no avail. Someone else finally said they were out of biscuits and had them in the oven. This was 5:30 pm. My husband's drink was not refilled until we were almost finished eating. Finally, 40 minutes after being seated and our meals almost eaten, the waiter brought the biscuits. They were not hot and were gummy inside. Not much positive to be said for a restaurant that is supposed to be known for Biscuits and Chicken. Made two trips in one...first and last.

I've given Tupelo Honey a shot several times since it opened in Market Square. After my first two bad experiences receiving food that was not only cold, but frozen in the middle - I still gave it another shot given the accolades that their Asheville location has achieved. I have yet to receive a meal that was edible - much less tasty.
If you're looking for a quality experience that has a unique Knoxville flair - there are plenty of better options within walking distance of Tupelo Honey.
