Our Lady of Wisdom has been a very positive and influential part of my college experience. The people are always welcoming and encouraging, and the pastor is quite down-to-earth, personable, and friendly with everyone, particularly the students. He is also not afraid to speak the truth in matters of faith and morals, which is a quality of which many parish priests are becoming more wary in preaching, largely because of the fear of "offending" members of their congregation or local communities. The pastor and the many friends and acquaintances I have made in this parish have taught me to be "in the world" but not "of the world", which has also taught me much about living my faith in whatever the circumstances life may bring. I would highly recommend this parish to any new students or families who are looking for a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, while having the freedom to learn, embrace, and practice the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The church itself is quite beautiful. Mass is held every day, which is perfect for students on campus who don't have time to leave campus and get to a different mass before another class starts up. The staff is friendly and they really know what the Catholic Church teaches and believes. Sadly, you won't find this in all churches. Fr. Bryce Sibley is a fantastic priest. During his homilies he does not waste time trying to be a comedian or trying to create warm fuzzy feelings for the congregation. He spends his time preaching truth and trying to bring souls to Christ. He is truly a great man that cares for the souls of others.

Wisdom has been my home at UL, and the people there have made sure that my stay has always been a good one. The staff is full of enthusiasm, the parishioners are very generous and kind hearted people, and there just never seems to be a dull moment there. It's a great place to learn about experiencing life to the fullest. The priest there is also quite a trip. He's got a very laid back personality (and a sense of humor to go with it), but is not afraid to bring the hammer down when he's preaching. Fr. makes sure that his points are well understood. I don't think I've ever walked away from a mass not feeling educated in some sort of way. It's fantastic.
