I just received a bill for 1,300 for a " physician charge", and I did not even see a MD, I saw a nurse pracitioner. Under the insurance information it has " self pay, no ins". I clearly have BCBS of Louisiana and all of that info was given at the time of my "NP " visit NOT a MD. I tried calling these people at 430 today, by 7:00 pm had not gotten to speak with a single person. I kept on hold and kept calling back for 2 and a half hours, without getting anyone. Of course, I will start up again in the morning since they supposedly close at 7 pm central time. Im sure it will be most interesting to hear that the same charge is for NPs as MDs. I have a strong feeling thats the line that will be told, if I am wrong, however, i will come back here and update that.

You all are basically scam artists. We were insured at time of an ER visit. Never received a bill from you even though we gave the hospital our correct info and were fully insured by Blue Cross Blue Shield. You all sent this bill to a collection agency and it hurt our credit. We first discovered it while trying to buy a house. This should be illegal that you can just do this without ever calling us or mailing a bill (for $687). We paid off the collection agency and now you owe us money ($480.90 to be exact). This claim was properly re-submitted (because you all made an error and never submitted it in 2013) to BCBS in May 2016 and BCBS paid you the money which you received on June 9, 2016. Did you even try to pay us back or did you sweep it under the rug and hope we wouldn't find out? Please advise.
Update, 2017: This company finally made it right and corrected their error and reimbursed us for what they owed us: $480.90. I won't increase my star rating because of the time wasted and how it affected our credit score while trying to buy a house.
