Very disappointed. No flavor on anything. I REALLY wanted a steak. I should've just gone to Chili's. You would think a "steakhouse" would have good steak.... Very disappointed. Definitely the worst steak I've ever had.

Atmosphere was nice. Waiter was nice. Food was sub-par. Tasted like pre-made box food. This may be OK for tourist that know no better, but you had better have your A-team really cooking for the locals. A big disappointment for a place that is nationally known. Not at all a good representation of South Louisiana food.

The service was excellent. The server was helpful and polite. He was a very nice young man. The gumbo was the best I've eaten. The bread pudding with rum sauce was amazing! We were seated immediately. Our food came very quickly. We will go again.

Having grown up here Don's in somewhat of an institution. Of the two locations this one is a different atmosphere. ..food is always good. The seafood gumbo is usually awesome...though maybe today was a bit off....never want to see this place go away....

My first visit was very pleasant & rewarding. I had the Seafood Gumbo which I thought was pretty good, featuring a bowl with plethora meat, making it well worth the relative cheap price ($10.95). I also had a cup of potato salad but it wasn't anything to rave about. I also was impressed with the service I was given by the bartender; prompt & friendly. Will come back!
