Do no order, when restaurant is closing. Chef's do not care about quality at that point. Taste is mediocre to good. Fresher products can be used. I'll recommend Oshimi Sushi. Completely better place.

Ignore these other reviews. I have eaten sushi all over the world, literally, and somehow the sushi offered here is on par with the best I have had. I am in Lexington regularly on business, and always find my way to Malone's/Harry's/Aqua for a few rolls and some Nigiri. I think it's absolutely bizarre that some of my favorite sushi is in the middle of Kentucky, but that's how it is.

Great sushi, carryout or eat-in. Often crowded around dinner time.

Go somewhere else. Almost any Japanese restaurant in town will be better. It's not horrible, but it's not good either. Have given it a shot 3 times, and it has consistantly been less than average.

We had been wanting to try Aqua and finally went to celebrate a special day. Our food was mediocre and the service was worse than that! Our waitress (Jane) didn't write down our order (there were 2 of us) so she immediately came back to ask us to repeat it. This wouldn't have been a problem if she would have then rang it in correctly. Not surprisingly, we got the wrong food. We repeatedly had Jane as well as other servers offer us neighboring table's food as well as take our food to the wrong table then stand confused when they refused it. We waited at least 15 minutes for our check. There was no manager in sight or I would have found one to talk to while we where there. The bartenders were sitting where they make drinks (ass-tini anyone?), the waitress had no idea if they volcano roll was served hot or cold as she "had never eaten one before", the servers had no idea where tables were how to run food, and overall the whole experience was a mess. The training manager there needs to be fired! The staff is not adequately being trained! It is quite possible our server who greeted us with "What's up, dudes?" was under the influences. She was damn near disoriented. Writing this review makes me want my money back!
