Delicious food and great service. The Kung Pao beef and the orange chicken were both great.

Much more costly than i had imagined for how light the bags were walking out of restaurant...got home and i had no rice or egg rolls when on receipt i clearly paid for them.
Called them up and got the infamous, "i sowwy, u get moe wice next rime"
There will not be a next time...small portions, heavy bill....no sanks!

Food was really good and fast. They're big on traditional Chinese food not just buffet style foods which was really cool. And the portions are huge. The ladies are really nice as well.

Hunan, Hunan, Hunan. What should be done with you. . .
Hunan has been around for decades in a town that rarely sees restaurants last that long. Hunan has long been regarded as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Lexington. As of late they seem to have some issues though on the weekends. A couple times the chef(s) would show up late or not at all. They've also recently done away with their Sunday buffet which was a Lexington tradition of sorts.
The building is definitely showing it's age but the interior dining area is still nice and gives off a cozy dining experience that you just don't find in a Chinese restaurant these days.
Despite the inadequacies, their food (when someone shows up to make it) is still really quite good and you rarely get a "meh" meal when there.
Hunan to me seems to be on the tipping point of greatness again or being run into the ground. Only time will tell which way it leans.
