I was underwhelmed. The staff was very nice. The food was bland, and they didn't know how to pour a Guinness. That doesn't bother me at most places, but if you call yourself an Irish pub, you should probably look that up.

I went here 3 times in one weekend because that's where the group I was with was headed. The staff was great. The drink selection was really good. Now the problems: I had quite a sampling from the menu and it JUST didn't quite exceed good. My expectations were higher. A friend at my table asked if they could cook a burger rare. They were emphatic that they could. The burger came med-well. They were quick to fix it and bring a new burger. This one was only slightly less cooked than before.
SERVICE - GREAT.
FOOD - PRETTY GOOD.

Well the appetizer (fried pickles) was really tasty. However, after this came out we proceeded to wait for an entree salad and a sandwich for over an hour. Waitress said the kitchen was behind because of a larger party they were trying to serve. Okay, so you’re busy. But to wait for more than hour for a sandwich and a salad... unacceptable. And they have no hostess to seat you. It’s fend for yourself.

Myself and some friends regularly go to Dugan's and we really love it, I always get the veggie burger - and it's always good. The service is great too, usually very lively, funny, and helpful. Super laid back place.
However, some friends and I were walking in and we approached a man searching for cigarette butts, so we stopped and gave him a few cigarettes and asked him if he was hungry, and of course he said yes so we each threw him a couple bucks. A few Dugan's employees come over and interrupt us to berate this man as if he were an animal, and publicly criticized us for helping him. They accused him of trying to buy drugs, or alcohol. We tried to tell these people that we didn't care how he spent the money, we just wanted to make his night a little better, but they were persistent and genuinely hateful. It really left a bad taste in our mouths for this place.
With that being said, I totally understand that for aesthetic reasons, you wouldn't want someone panhandling outside a place of business, but there are tactful ways to handle delicate situations, and maintaining a compassionate attitude towards people less fortunate than the majority. We approached this man, not the other way around. Don't belittle humans, and don't tell people what to do with their money. We will probably be back, but we are definitely going to be taking a break from Dugan's for some time.
