I came in with multiple problems. I had bilateral carpal tunnel plus multi-level back injury and degeneration. The doctor spent time with me and discussed back problem. Together we decided to on what to address in what order. I had surgery on both hands to begin with. Each was a day surgery procedure. The staff was very friendly, caring, knowledgeable and efficient. The relief of symptoms in my hands was tremendous. It was like night and day. My back was more in depth. I had multiple bulging discs and instability in my lower back. Dr. Schlesinger was very thorough in explaining what would be required during and after surgery. The surgery was at St. Vincent. I was in for 2 days and I was amazed at how fast my pain and numbness improved. Now at 4 months post-surgery my symptoms are gone. Follow up by staff after all surgeries was terrific. Staff called regularly between appointment to see how I was doing and see if there were any problems. As a grateful patient and retired nurse, I give the Legacy staff and doctors my highest recommendation.

When I first came to Legacy I was happy and relieved that Dr. Schlesinger was so attentive to my needs, understanding of my condition and willing to provide the surgery I needed. He and his staff were accommodating and professional from the first visit to the last and I would recommend to anyone. When I came in for surgery I was in intense pain and barely mobile. Soon after surgery I was walking comfortably and managing my normal tasks. Dr. Schlesinger is an outstanding surgeon and I am glad I made the right choice in selecting him for my doctor.

Great results of surgery. I was in unending 10+ pain in my back and going down my left leg. After surgery the pain was bad for 2-3 weeks but after 6 weeks I had little or no pain. The Neurontin worked to relieve my pain but I had memory loss. Now I take one at night and I have improved so much I can hardly believe it! I am almost back to normal! Great doctor and great service!

Dr. Schlesinger has changed my life. I could hardly walk and was in severe pain before coming to him. We tried many different ways to alleviate the pain but despite the efforts, I ended up having back surgery. The staff has been amazing each visit. Joy (RN) described each med fully and answered my questions and always smiling and friendly. Jessica Beggs (PT) has been WONDERFUL! She has helped me regain my strength and worked diligently at helping me regain muscle tone and alleviate discomfort. This would all not be possible if not for Dr. Schlesinger. He took the time to listen, present me with options and the end results, fixed me! I can now walk without pain. I can sleep without pain and I have been able to start living again! My future is much brighter now and the possibilities are endless now that I am healed and recovered. Thank you for giving me my life back!
