Rosie's Dog Beach

Please don't come here if you don't want to get sandy. This is a DOG beach. Yesterday a man shoved my dog's head in the sand and told her to "go away" because his husky tackled my medium sized cattle dog mix onto their cooler. He was upset that my dog got sand on his cooler. People like this need to leave. Would you go to a dog park, sit in the middle and have a picnic and expect a dog to not jump on your stuff? She didn't do it on purpose. Other people saw it and couldn't believe it. OTHERWISE 95% of the people here are great and don't mind a little sand and water.

Went on a weekday. Pleanty of free parking on the street near the dog beach. Not a lot of dogs when I was there but they were orderly and well-behaved. People are very friendly we had a very good time. My dog loved it.

Great dog beach! In a VERY cute little neighborhood as well. It is usually fairly uncrowded, and even in the peak season it's mostly full of other fun, responsible pet owners who know their own dogs limits. I have not had or even seen an issue between two dogs here that wasn't broken up in seconds by their watchful parents, something I can't say of any other dog parks in the area. There are dog accessible drinking fountains, trash cans evenly spaced over the whole beach for ease of dog waste disposal, a restroom, and there's metered parking steps from the beach as well.

Rosie's Dog Beach is hands down my dog's favorite happy place. It's basically Disneyland for dogs! It's a gorgeous swathe of beach dedicated to our furry friends. Very spacious and beautiful with plenty of metered parking as well as free parking on the street. And on those days when the waves are stronger, you can find beautiful shells strewn about. Me and my fur buddy find a morning visit to Rosie's Dog Beach the BEST way to start the day!

Was a good beach with soft sand. My dog loved it and had a blast with the other dogs off leash. Would have given 5 stars but it was pretty dirty with lots of trash and plastic in the water. If it was cleaned up a bit better would have given 5 stars. Also seeing some negativity about quarters, yes you do need quarters if you want to park. There are spots to use a credit card, but there are much much less of those spaces. However there is street parking around the block with no time limit that I could see. Also seeing reviews of people saying their dog got sick from drinking the water and claimed the water wasn't clean.... it's ocean water people. Bring fresh water for your dog. You can't drink ocean water, regardless of how clean it is. To those without a brain please bring your dog fresh water!
