I will be as faire in this review as possible! Here are reasons why I am giving this salon 2 Stars and also why I will give another try to this place.

Salon was clean, front desk people were very nice over the phone and in-person, one of the front girls helped me to find a right color, they have vast variety of colors, mani chairs looked comfortable. Prices are same as in majority of good nail salons for Gel and regular manicure. Even though i had upsetting first experience I will still go and give another try to this place but with the technician I originally wanted, I will also update this review after that visit ; - But now lets agree if a nail technician cuts your skin (in multiple places)even more that she cut my skin far from cuticle as you can see on the picture it needs to be noted and emphasized.

Technician cut my skin ! while saying that my cuticles are too dry! Anyone who is interested can find from my other reviews that I do nails often and I am very particular how I like them done and my skin had never been cut by any technician before. I do huge research looking at salons and pictures, searching for names who did the job to make sure i schedule appointment with the right person. I just moved to Long Beach I decided to try this place because of the reviews, I was told that person that I wanted was off today and since I was not planning on Gel ( which i generally get) and just wanted a regular manicure I was honestly thinking that anyone can do a dissent job - I was wrong and lesson is learned. She was doing it very fast, was super careless of how unclean the nails looked, super uneven length and shape and so on. . .( you can see it all in the picture) I asked her to redo the work, which she did, and that is when i got these cuts - I believe that happened because of lack of inexperience with cleaning a cuticle properly. I also understand regular manicure is just $15 compared to Gel which is $35 but by no means does that mean that salon should not care of their overall reputation and/or image.

I brought my mom here to get a manicure and pedicure done and other than it being a small space. We were happy with the results of our nails. It was pricey but it was worth it consideri g that our nails lasted nearly a month in good condition.

The one thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was the fact they allowed a woman to bring her very large dog into the shop as she got her nails done. I felt bad for the dog because there was no space for him to sit or lie down.

I may be come back in the future.

The place was dirty, the chairs were uncomfortable, and my nail technician kept stabbing me with her unreasonably long nails.

Kiwi nails is a nice, clean nail salon. I have had several different people do my nails there who have all been great. However, Gigi is my favorite. My only complaint is that if you get a manicure and a pedicure at the same time they work on both your hands and feet in the chair, which is a bit awkward. I prefer to relax and read when I get a pedicure, so I book my services separately. Otherwise, this place is great. Word of advise, call in advance for an appointment because they are always busy!

Great, no frills nail salon. Very good technicians and the owner is very attentive to every guest...offering an array of beverages while you receive your service. Great background music. If you like the massage chairs, this isn't the place for you. Expect a nice living room, leather chair and a clean foot bowl but no massage chairs. They will get in and out and do great work. Have been a client for over 2 years.
