HORRIBLE!! I went here at 8pm on Oct. 17th. And I was treated like white trash. I was trying to explain how everything started which was with an abcessed tooth with exposed nerve which I hadcan appt. With my DDS the next day. Told them I was not there for the Unbearable pain. I was there for Nsusea and my toward the top of my stomach felt tight and painful. Bad neck pain especially when I turned it. They did not even let me finish that I felt like I could not breathe, dizziness, cough and chills. So they did not even have the wholr story. They took me to a triage room where I assume a Nurse just started pulling my sweatshirt sleeve like she was trying to take it off. I finally asked her if she would like me to take it off while I assume another nurse told me an abcessed tooth was not an emergency which I told them 3 times I was not there for that but she insisted on very aggressively started pulling on my cheek to see the tooth and jerking around my neck which I already told them hurt to move. Told them I had been taking Aleve and Tylenol for the tooth and I thought maybe the upper stomach pain was caused by the fact I could not take my tums because I could not . She then told me to use baby Oragel on my abcess. Lol!! Told her no. Then told me to take ibuprophen and Tylenol and I needed to have it pulled ASAP. Told them 4 times I had the appt. To have it pulled the next day then told me take Prevavid would work immediately like Tums which is incorrect. Prevacid does not work on the acid you already have it just keeps more from building up. They never even knew the whole story why I was there because they kept cutting me off and spoke to me very condescending. I walked out almost passed out walking to my car I was so short of breath. Lost my stomach contents in their parking lot and went to Regional where I was found to have Bleeding Ulcers, Staph infection and Pleurisy. Had I went home and continued the anti inflammatories I could have died. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE. They could not get past the tooth which I was not even there for it was just how it started. The 1 thing they did not know either is I am a R.N. and they were giving medical advice and incorrect medical advice at that. I know they better not even think about sending me a bill when I never even got to state my problem. If I were the Admins. Of that ER I would sure retrain these nurses or something before they end up in a lawsuit because someone died due to their non existant assessment and incorrect advice. THERE IS NO REASON TO TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY THEY TREATED ME!

Took my boyfriend to this Er last night with a severe earache. They told him that this was not an emergency and that they would not treat him and saw not one doctor. I would not waste your time going to this Er. By the way the vibes in that place were weird..

My husband went to ER at North Park and was very happy with his experience. He was seen by Dr Frank and his nurses name was also Frank. He said that everyone he had contact with was very professional and very nice. Thank you for taking excellent care of him.

took my child here last night for nerve pain she could hardly walk . they did a pre evaluation with a RN she came in . She checked eyes , nose, made my child touch her toes and off that she determined that my child only had growing pains !!! are you kidding me!!!!!!???? so then we get pushed into the billing room where we were informed that I had to pay $300 before we could leave ! I asked for what , I was told that our insurance might not cover Unnecessary er visits . I said we didn't even go to a room or see a Dr why do I have to pay ? was told it's a policy. I agured with him , then he calls the security officer over to stand behind me forcing me to pay before they will let me leave. So here we are today at a specialist for nerves because my child does have something wrong with a nerve in her body !!!! shame on you Good Shepherd for making a child suffer all because you are money hungry!!!! I will be calling to get my money back !!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife had an allergic reaction to medication that she had been taking for years. Her tongue was swollen, and it was beginning to impact breathing. We went to North Park because of prior good experiences. They diagnosed the problem quickly and had her on the road to recover fast. So, why the negative review? Good Shepherd is in plan. You assume that the doctors are also. They were not, and we were not notified. She saw a couple of nurses and one PA. The doctor associated with the PA billed $1600!!!! Since that doctor is not in plan, insurance will not even try to negotiate. The $3000 emergency bill cost us about $450 (in plan). Personally, I think the use of doctors that are not in plan, when the facility is in plan constitutes fraud. This doctor will not negotiate a reasonable fee, and we will not pay $1600. DO NOT GO TO NORTH PARK!
