I have tried to give this place a fair chance by going 3 times, but I have just had so many issues with the place. The first time, there were cockroaches on the wall. Each time, the food portions have been WAY too big. Easily enough for two people on each plate. This may be a benefit to some people, but I would far rather eat a meal for one person at a lower price, especially since much of the food is fried and doesn't reheat well.
The food is also OVERWHELMINGLY sweet. The chicken is sweet. The burger is sweet. The catfish is sweet. The final straw for me was when I ordered fries, and discovered that they actually season the fries with sugar. Paired with the fact that the breading on the catfish was tough, this was one of the few times I chose not to finish the plate. In my opinion, this food is not worth the price.
The reason this place has earned 2 stars is that the service has always been very good. The wait staff has always been friendly, and helpful.
Perhaps this is a good place to go for a beer, but it is not the place to go for dinner.

Great atmosphere, great good and great service! Dominique was the best server as well! Highly recommend Griff's if you are near.

Griffs. The food is cool. I actually really like their sweet potato fries. They arent remarkably special but their dipping is pretty good. I also am biased to sweet potato fries so it isnt hard to impress me. Check them out if you're hungry and on campus. Also there is a comfy cow right next to it for dessert.
