The culinary keyword here is "Modern Vietnamese". So, I was studying the menu and quickly realized that I was not a modern Vietnamese Man, because I couldn't comprehend the listed ingredients and was not familiar with the dish names. I was like, where the "pho" is the Pho? There was none.
With no familiar naming soup in sight, I settled for their "Shaking Beef". It was actually really good. The filet mignon cubes were well marinated in a sweet and lightly salty sauce sitting on top of crisp watercress. Then it hit me, I was eating "Bò Lúc Lắc".

Have been coming here for years and the food is like nothing else in the city! Staff know their stuff and can point you in the right direction depending on you palate. Atmosphere is intimate and warm. Every visit is a special dining experience that makes you come back again and again! Well done, Basa!

Nice atmosphere, stellar food, and tasty cocktails. They even offer to make any dish gluten free upon request.
