I placed an order online which they received at 3 p.m. , with a pick-up time of 3:30 -3:45. I arrived at 3:35 & there was a huge long line waiting to pay & only one cashier. Finally after standing in line for 10 minutes, another lady started cashing people out. After paying for my order, I stepped over where I was told to wait for it. After another 5 -10 minutes, I got the attention of a manager & told her I had been waiting for quite some time for my order. She went to check & about 2 minutes later, my order was brought to me. This was at 4 p.m. . I received no apology for my wait. Since I was on my way to work ( this order was for my dinner at work ), I was late for work. Isn't the point of ordering ahead is so that it is ready when you arrive? Needless to say, I wasn't happy with this visit.

I love that Cracker Barrel is consistent at all locations and that their menu has a wide variety. I like the casual atmosphere and enjoy looking at the many antiques. My children (and I) love to browse the store with its many unique items. Their look and feel might be getting a bit tired but that doesn't bother me. Just a couple of negatives would be that the dining room is cramped and noisy.

The food was excellent, with hearty portions. Our waiter, Andrew was very courteous, friendly, was on top of refills, and even offered to bring an extra cup of gravy for my dinner. Once we ordered, food didn't take very long to arrive, and it was hot and fresh. Hit the spot.

Very poor service. The restaurant was not even halfway full. I order the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The waiter came back and said out of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Then she rattle off 4 or 5 other things they were out of. So change my order and asked for carrot . She brought me my sweet tea that had no sugar in it. Then she came back the third time and said oh out of carrot you need to pick something else. So don't understand why they have a menu if they are not going to cook what you want. They seem to only be cooking a few things from the menu and you have to eat what they have.

Hostess was smiling and pleasant. Server was so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I ordered an entree and extra side. She told me about an off menu entree that included the side for a lower price. The place was not packed on a Saturday night although it is close to U of L and the stadium so I am sure they have packed nights. The food was absolutely delicious and served hot.The prices were between low and moderate. Our ticket was $26 for two adults. I thought it was great.
