We came in on a Saturday @ noon. We were the only customers in the restaurants, this was kind of scary, but we had reservations so I wanted to stick to my word. The cornbread & molasses butter was delicious (thank goodness). My "crab cakes" were like 2 ice cream scoops of tuna salad, I scrapped those off & ate the cheese grits that were pretty good. What they served my husband was unreal, he ordered fish & chips, the fish & the french fries were old & reheated. This was pretty expensive for cornbread & grits (the only things edible).

This place is amazing and delicious. Went with my father as a special little lunch date, we ordered the River Tower, crispy avocoda salad, the char grilled octopus, and a deep fried oyster appetizer I'm spacing on the name. It all was all mouth watering, happy dancing, good.
Be sure to sit on the outside patio to enjoy views of the Ohio river, it was the perfect lunch and a wonderful experience.

Everything I have eaten here has been absolutely amazing! The raw bar is fantastic and fresh. If you want something less expensive, I would recommend the Grouper Po Boy for lunch. YUM! The service here is also top notch A+++++!

Service was excellent, Brandon was very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the potato bacon soup and corn chowder as well as the heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad as appetizers. All were delicious! Our entrees were the Italian muffaletta which was very good but my wife's fried cod sandwich was quite possibly the best fish sandwich either of us have ever had! Thank you so much for everything!

Let me start by saying that initially I was very impressed with River House. We were greeted promptly and seated outside per our reservation request. Once at our table things deteriorated rapidly. It took at least 10 minutes to be greeted by our server Andrew. He dropped off our menus and asked for our drink order, after realizing that we were not ordering alcoholic drinks he disappeared again.....for a long time. We asked about specials and he pointed to a smaller menu and said "it's right there" in a rude tone! These were just a few examples of the poor service we received. I will say that the food was amazing and that we will probably be back as we enjoyed everything else about the restaurant except the service. On an up note we were able to discuss standards of service with our teenage son so we did use it as a learning tool.
