I would 10/10 recommend this orthodontist. They have a very friendly staff, that makes you feel right at home and are extremely funny and creative. They also make sure you understand everything thats happening with your braces and make sure you are as comfortable as possible for your braces journey.

Dr. Black and her team are simply amazing! Dr. Black genuinely cares about her patients and her work. Every time I visit the office, everyone treats me like family! Even after Moving to North Carolina, I still travel to AOL for my appointments because I cannot imagine going anywhere else! Dr. Black has been a great blessing to me! Thank you all !

Amazing experience! The staff was all very friendly, considerate, and accommodating. I'm in Lynchburg for school and I was a bit nervous going to an orthodontist besides my one back home, but I felt very well taken care of and reassured!

AWESOME! This office is UNPARALLELED! Literally blown away. My 5yr old and I went for a first time consultation. We will be back!!! When we first walked in through the door, Donna met us there and greeted us by name. The main area is open concept with benches and kid's toys around the outskirts of the room and dentist chairs in the middle. It's different than I've ever seen but pretty warm and inviting. The music is soothing, the staff are sweet and accommodating - even entertaining my son while I had my consultation. For me, I had complained to my regular doctor of sensitivity and pain which he had recommended sensitive toothpaste and a retainer. I was referred to Dr. Black for a retainer and braces. I mentioned the sensitivity and she was able to have her husband (next door at Gentle Endodontics) take a peek and discovered the need for a root canal. A week later, I needed an emergency RC and thanks to her, I had already been seen by her husband to get it taken care of.

There are not enough stars to rate Appalachian Orthodontics!! Dr. Black is an incredibly skilled and caring professional, and her staff immediately puts you at ease. I never had braces but really wanted straight teeth for my wedding. I was so nervous during my consultation, but Dr. Black and her team were so loving and helpful! Getting braces at 24 is daunting, but I'm SO GLAD that I did! It was such a gift not to worry about my smile on my wedding day! Not only do I love my wedding pictures, but I feel more confident in my daily life as well. I am so grateful for the care and support of the AOL family. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!
