I am very disappointed because I have received excellent service in the past. I need stronger reading glasses. I am a writer, and I spend an extensive amount of time each day on a laptop and monitor. I have symptoms of double vision upon waking up in the middle of the night, that is readily corrected if I blink a few times. I have been tested and have another test pending. In the interim, I need better reading glasses, and for some reason unbeknownst to me, I cannot obtain them. The excellent ophthalmologist wrote a prescription, but the glasses I received (plastic demos) are non-functional. Scheduling tests are fine, but what is a patient to do when she has to press her head to the screen to see the documentation on the screen? I am also a senior citizen, not a child, and would like to be treated as a fully cognizant adult with four advanced degrees. Everything in Lynchburg, VA is a problem. You simply cannot obtain what you need. The stress is enough to cause a massive stroke. All I desire is enhanced reading glasses, and it is as if I am asking for someone to tie a lasso around the moon and literally drag it down to earth.

I brought my brother in to this clinic yesterday, July 26, 2017, for his appointment. We wound up waiting over an hour after arriving at the scheduled time. The doctor is very good. The tech staff is excellent. The reason for the ridiculous delay was pure incompetence and unprofessional behavior stemming from the admin staff manning the admissions desk. The tech staff noticed my brother had been waiting for quite some time and approached him and then the admissions station. The attendant admitted she had forgotten to push the "send" button to notify the tech staff that my brother was present for the appointment. A mistake of that kind falls under the category of "things happen". My issue is the unprofessional and childish behavior exhibited by the admin staff. while we were waiting. I was working on my laptop and listening to boisterous giggling, inordinately loud talking and behavior not appropriate for a professional medical office setting. I am a practice administrator for a clinic myself, and make no mistake, that kind of behavior would not be tolerated in my clinic or many others I'm sure. It detracts from an otherwise model facility.

Botox isn't just for cosmetics anymore! I receive treatment for "sustained, forced, involuntary closing of the eyelids" (the $10 word, blepharospasms), and facial muscle spasms (oramandibular dystonia). Together, these are called Meige syndrome. Dr. Ganser has been treating me for quite a while (there is no known cure), and her care and patience with helping me through this is nothing less than wonderful. The rest of the staff (especially Becky North) are, IMHO, the best there can be. Kudos to all!

Great practice of ophthalmologist. I have had the pleasure of not only working there but also being a patient and having my children seen by Dr. Ganser. The new office space is wonderful for the amount of patients and helps provide comfort while waiting. Highly recommend this practice for any eye care.

It has now been over five years since I received iLASIK from Dr. Bowers at PEC. It has been a game changer!!! After dealing with contacts for over 30 years it has been wonderful having carefree eyesight. It’s been so nice to just wake up and go every morning, it’s been especially nice since my family and I spend a lot of summers on the lake swimming, skiing, and tubing without the fear of losing contacts in the process. I would recommend everyone inquiring to see if they are a candidate for this procedure. The staff was wonderful and my only issue was I wish I had talked to them sooner!
