I was concerned about something and decided to go here. Overall it was not a bad experience. I felt better after I left compared to when I went in.

My grandson was admitted to ICU & am so grateful to all staff for saving his life Once moved to 8th floor Med/Surg things changed for the worse.
They actually had bed bugs in the room, brought in from his roommate family. On top of all that he developed a blood clot, even though he had a picc line & wasn't flushed like it was suppose to be. It was like the left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing. Attempted to give him medication that he was allergic too. He had a fractured clavicle & fractured wrist. Eating tray brought in & no assist to cut up meat or help with anything. And that list goes on & on. So very disappointed with the nsg & Dr's who took care of him.
This may not get posted as it has a lot of negativity in it. I am a nurse & know the medical field very well.

What's the point of having your health - if the experience of trying to untangle a billing error these guys made makes you pray for death? These guys performed an expensive test for a family member in Oct '16. Bill bounced by my insurance due to a coding error. After numerous phone calls and physically walking change documents through from the original prescribing physician to the Hospital in Manchester - they finally appear to have successfully submitted to BCBS. It's late June '17 as I write this. If it were merely their incompetence costing them money - I wouldn't much care - but their answer to not doing their own jobs is to make the patient financially responsible for their incompetence. If this were an improper scan at a grocery store for a 99 cent can of peas - they would give me the can of peas for free. But when it's a $3200.00 visit with a high end bit of medical technology - and the failure is theirs - YOU ARE ON THE HOOK. And the folks in Elliot's coding department will be glad to point this responsibility out for you while acting like your frustration is a case of you not having your emotions under control. I gave them one star because you can't rate zero or negative.

The Elliot is a busy urban hospital, but the staff made the experience AMAZING. Truly special people who clearly care deeply about what they do and helping their patients. So many people went above and beyond the call of duty to make my mom's and our family's experience comfortable and personal. The Golden Rule seems to prevail here, as we were treated like family during a tough time when we needed that TLC. Kudos to The Elliot for having a culture of compassion!
