Went down the bar trail after the incline. Great place to be outdoors. Moderate trail with great opportunities to see the while of Colorado Springs.

Very nice trail, just be wary of slipping on the small stones, which is very easy to do. Parts of it aren't protected by rails, so there's some danger of going off the edge if you're not careful. I only went down after climbing the incline, but safe to say that going up might be slightly challenging, particularly with the altitude change. Going down was a breeze, but quite tedious, so unless you plan on holding a conversation the whole way or are truly an admirer of nature, definitely bring something to listen to on your phone or some other device. Very easy to get bored and tired. This place is fairly busy, so you'll encounter a lot of people you'll have to let by or pass, particularly trail runners. This can get a bit annoying after the fourth or fifth time you have to stop and squeeze to the side to make way. There are multiple viewpoints with boulders or other natural spots to sit along the way, so there's plenty of opportunity to stop and rest if necessary. Remember to bring water and maybe some snacks; it's not a difficult or long trail, but water is always a good idea and snacks usually taste better during a hike, I've found. A good tip: you can avoid paying a parking fee by parking in the lot across the street from the nearby spa and taking the free shuttle (route 33) to the incline/Barr Trail bus stop. Just show up early or it'll be hard to find a spot... I arrived around 7:30AM and most of the back of the lot was empty, but when I came back around 12:45PM, I didn't see any open spots and several cars were parked along the sides of nearby roads.
